my heaters don't seem to be blowing to the floor.they work when when blowing at the windscreen and out of the one's in the middle of the dash(below the stereo).the heater controls seem to be a bit stiff at times, feels like i'm straining something when i push them.any help would be welcome.

this has all happened due to some t**t breaking into my car and damaging the heater control area to get the stereo out   i think it could be due to the cables getting caught on something and not then moving the  thingy in to position for the floor heaters.much the same problem as you i think.

Yeah, take your radio out and check the movement of the cable. Its the bit that looks like a bike brake cable.
