Has my central locking fixed its self???
« on: 14 November 2005, 11:12 »
Well after the problems Ive had with the passenger door lock for a few months now and now the drivers lock playing up, i recently bought a new lock for the passenger door first.. and was trying to find someone who would fit it on the cheap .. but the other day..

I unlocked the car on the remote, opened the drivers door, got in and I was fiddling with my bag with the door open, when the car tries to lock its self again and the alarm starts going off.. so I pressed the remote again which opened the doors and stopped the alarm.. didn't think much about it as it usually tries to do that.. started the engine and off I went..

When I turned off the engine I got out of the car and went to lock the car on the remote.. nothing.. it was like the remote was dead or something.. it wouldn't work at all, so I put the key in the lock and locked it that way, had to keep fiddling with it till the passenger side deadlocked and the indicators flashed.. said a few swear words and went inside.

Few hours later came out to the car to investigate, tried the remote.. still nothing, I was starting to think the battery in the remote had gone dead, so I unlocked the car with the key, and couldn't get the led to stop flashing so I just turned the engine on quickly to turn the alarm off.. turned it off shut the doors and tried the remote again.. all doors locked first time and the indicators flashed!

And since then, it has locked and flashed the indicators on one press of the remote like it should!!!??

even pressing the lock button in the car has worked. Usually i would have to keep pressing it till the passenger door pin stayed down, but thats working as well..

I'm confused, did it reset its self or something?? :undecided:
