well thats a let down then. Every write up iv seen of the gti is a good one though and i just like how it doesnt look like one of these cars that comes already modified. It still has a little class about its sporty looks. rather than all the add on plastic trim you get on the vauxhall and the focus.

mark 5's have a sort of refined look about them, they are a bit leary with the 18's on them but not too much, he vxr is a boit of a mentalist in comparison.

just how off the rails has this gone by the way

back to the st.......

the st wont sell because people will be waiting for the RS!

mmmmm...........just thinking about how I should have got a 2001 Focus or Astra instead of my 2001 MK4 1.8T......NOT!

If you move to 2010 and take a 5 year old VXR Astra and drag race it against a 5 year old GTI I think I know the result, My GTI still goes like new even though its 4 years old, I know I wouldnt be saying that if I got an Astra....or a Focus

My bro has got a Vectra SRI but it spends more time in the garage than I do on the Jon!!!!!!!!!!!!
MK4 2.0 GTI!, MK4 1.8T GTI, MK5 GT TDI 140, MK6 GTD.....loved em all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just look at how many Mark 2 golf gti's there are about on the roads, u dnt see an awful lot of escort RS mark 3's do u, coz they all packed in years ago!

FORD -  equals - F ound O n R oad D ead

The Volkwagen GTi is sublime (worthy of adoration and reverence).

I have just ordered a GTi 3dr, met blk, 17",RCD500, Centre armrest,  for delivery 06 March.  The basic Philosophy here is:  simply-add the fewest extras from the list and maybe, just maybe, we might reincarnate the hallowed Mk 2.

Now, if anybody has any better ideas, please (although I'm sure you will) post.

Happy New Year.
