This new Focus ST

seems to be beating the Mk5 GTI in reviews now....have to say I'm not a huge fan of it's looks..prefer my nice black GTI  :wink: anyone had a drive in the Focus yet ?

I've not seen any reviews on it but no ones ever said anything bad about the MK5 GTI so if the Focus is beating it then it must be a pretty sh1t hot motor.  :cry:

its not beaten the GTI in Evo - their reporter said that the GTI is still THE benchmark  :nerd:

only thing going for the Ford (unfortunately) is the ridiculously low price of the thing  :sad: if only VW could make the GTI that cheap..........

Ford Focus ST??

Will be worth £5k in 2 years and will be a massive chav icon.... especially those electric orange ones  :grin:

dunno anything about ST really.. fords are cr@p  :grin:

but oppersite to Volkswagen in dartford is a massive bilboard with an advert for the new astra VXR and the slogen on it is "ASTRA VXR BEATS GOLF GTi"

it does make me laugh  :laugh:

Yes some mags do have it beating the GTI - however its always just beating it cause of the cost, the gti is a much classier car and always will be i haqve an st170 prior to my gti and it was bloody crap!
