A strainge Squeeking When Turning Right.
« on: 11 November 2005, 09:37 »
Hi All, Bit of a wierd one, When i turn right there seems to be rather high pitched squeeking that goes on and off as if it was the rotation of the tires. A friend has suggested it could be a glazed break disk but ive had this problem for over a week and im starting to get a little concerned.

Also, Could anybody tell me if i need to remove the entire Dash to fit a new Heater Matrix?

Cheers Dudes

This may sound silly but it couldnt be your power steering belt slipping? Have you got p/s? That makes a high pitched squeal when on full lock! (like loose fan belt)  :embarassed:
Other than that, the rubbers on the suspension squeaking? Cold weather stiffens rubber and makes it less subtle?!
To be honest, i dont have a clue what im talking about. ill get me coat!  :embarassed:  :nerd:

^^ Cheers Daz

Yes i have got power steering, Its just ive been chucking it into roundabouts so hard recentally (The inside walls of my tires are worn so badly) I thaught i might of bent somthing. Ill wait till i fit the coilovers tehn see if it goes. If not i think its time for a full service.

Im going to do battle with the heater matrix this weekend me thinks! Wish me luck!

If you have power steering then check the belt..thats what usually does it, does the steering ever get on/off when it does it or is it as normal?

Good luck with the matrix mate

dont think thats gonna get people running to do the job mate

it could be your fan belt slipping...when they are a lil bit loose they can squeel when you've got power steering... :undecided:
