Intermitant wiper speed

This is gonna seem lame to some of you engineer gurus on this site, but how the hell do I manage to change the time gap on the intermitant wiper??

I only ever manage to accidently do this - sometimes making the time gap between wipes to short or too long.

Its damn annoying as I can never get it back to original speed until the ignition is off.

Is there some sort of 'secret combo' I'm hitting with the control stalk?? - if so, what is it? cos its a great feature!

Hi there.  Solution as follows: Push the stalk down when you want the intermittent wiper to kick in (so the wipers wipe once), and then immediately push the stalk back up in to standard position.  Then when you push the stalk back down into the intermittant position the wipers will wipe after that length of time, and continue in that time pattern, thereby allowing you to set the variable speed on the wiper.  It's a good feature - just takes a while to get the hang of it.

If you still have the original VW manual there are a lot of little features like that in it.

Well worth a look.
