MK4 GTI Turbo.

Just been to have a look.1999 t reg.Full service history & every m.o.t. 90.000 miles no tax.4x electric windows & electric sun roof.Air con. 6 disc changer.Mettalic green paint 5 door(which i want) usual extras etc.Down side few scratches on paint etc worn leather on steering wheel ''fake'' wood trim on driver door pull very faded ? & slight cracks(can these be had on there own from dealer ?) also L side mirror case is chipped again can these be got on  there own or is it a complete mirror ?.It's up for £4995 BUT will take £4500 for cash & will do a full service.
What do you think ? cheers in advance.

sounds a fair price. you can get the trim from the dealer but it aint cheap. i replaced all mine with r-line brushed aluminium so i can let you have my spare bits on the cheap, bare in mind my car is a 3 door.

mirror case can be bought seperately.. again i think i have a spare one i could sell you but cant remember which side its for :undecided:

hi grim reaper how much you looking to spend on a 1.8 turbo as I am looking to sell my w reg indigo blue 1.8 turbo was gonna leave it til after christmas cos didnt think there would be much trade before xmas. let me know if your interested cheers-rich

The wood trim on the doors seems lighter on mine too (than the centre console bit) SO i reckon this is normal. MIne is chipped and cracked too. The window reg will have failed and a desperate person will have been trying to remove the door trim to pull the window back up.
Thats what happened to me, I was so enraged as it had happened so many times I really HATED the car for that moment
