i've just bought the original sales brochure for the mk1 golf range inc. GTI. cool ay not realy much point but might aswell have one.

Hmmm wonder how much the mk2 brochure is worth. When I bought a low mileage mk2 winter runabout last year it came with all the original paperwork including the brochure. They make great reading actually, really basic things by todays standard are made to sound like state of the art.............optional rear wash/wipe...............rear parcel tray..............digital clock!!! Great bit of memorabilia to tuck away for years to come.

I got one off ebay for a mark 2, its a valver one, and has a helios blue valver on the front which looks exactly like mine (well it did do anyway!  )

that was about 12 quid
