all to common problem this like..dun what you have dun and mine still does it in exactly same manner as yours is doing it changed fuel pump, filter, dizzy still does it been thru 2 coils used 1 2nd and one that was on car wen a bought it. hand one gonna try brand new one cos wen it cuts out and a try to start mine engine is turning over but no spark till what ever it is causing it colls down and starts fine but runs for about another 5 minutes and cuts out again..cud be coil related give it a try before ya start throwning money at it changing stuff that dont need changing which i have dun n wudnt like to say how much its cost up to now.let is know how ya get on cos a know this can be a real pain the ARSE not to mention dangerous and an embarrassement.

Thing wiv mine is that ya can be doing 30 or 70 mph car jus loses all power try changing down thru gears still no power so it cuts out then ignition lights come on..if left for a few mins car will start..sometimes car feels like its holding back all time..yesterday took me an hour to do a 8 mile trip home car was cutting out every 500 yrds or so real pain the arse..thinking of putting new coil on changing ignition switch failing that am gonna change the crank speed sensor.if still does it then god knows cos that will everything that everyone has suggested.. and a know how embarrassing it is lol.

Before you go changing the coil run it through a voltmetre you should be getting 12v in and about double that out down to the plugs to make a spark if your pushing out any less than about 15v you coil is prob on the way out just get someone to rev it up while you check the output figures,if it was your crank sensor that's duff your car won't start as it cant tell the ecu where position 1 is on the timing sequence and these cost £150 to replace and it means taking off the starter motor and front engine mount to get at it.Which is a pain in the arse when it's cold.
