well it arrived today.. and i have no idea how to fit the damn thing lol.. any idea how much it'll cost to get someone else to do it  :sad:

were abouts are you in the country, we charged about £15 pounds to fit lock units but only if they bought it from us, thats at a dealership tho. cant see any 1 charging more than £20.

bit of an @rse to fit, you have to remove your door panel, then get someone to hold you glass up whilst you undo the glass clamps on the window reg panel, then lower the leccy widow mechanism a tad, then remove the window reg panel after undoin all plugs etc......then you will have access to the lock unit, think its only hel on by 2 big torx bolts fromt he out side of the door, undo the plug and the hooks/rod and bingo easy.......

not sure on how much some one would charge to fit, if you know what your doin and have the right tools you could do it in 1hr tops.....

oh no ive got to go near the window reg clips!!!!! noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ive had that side repaired twice now i dont really wanna upset it, as it has been behaving its self recently  :sad:

Hi, like Kniterider said it's quite fiddly but looks pretty straightforward. A Haynes manual gives a pretty detailed instruction. I know this because mine is playing up again so i think i'm gonna change it. How much did you pay for the new one?

Had mine changed last month by VW - Price of the new lock and fitting?  Take a guess
