I thought i'd ask you mk1 experts if you have imported a new Mk1 citi golf from South africa? or know anyone that has?

web site - http://www.vw.co.za/models/model_detail.jsp?model_id=3586 The site is very slow, so patients needed :)

Thanks for the info!

Apparently beetle-uk used to import them but they no longer do!

I will investigate further - Cheers

Worth checking ebay - sometimes one crops up on there for a stupid low price compared to what a new one would cost.

There's a lass on porka.net selling one but she's had a few probs when someone came to look at it, basically the bloke was being a bit of a plank by the sound of it so check this thread out --> http://www.porka.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2114 it's on ebay at the moment here --> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4586330547

I was going to say that beetles-uk imported them but when I looked at their website there was nothing on there.  :undecided:
......now officially dubless.

i had a bid at that, you got a bargain there i reckon, get some front plastic inner wings mate as citis dont have em', especially with bad weather coming up, save your front end from rotting away

Thanks for tip mate. Yes seems a good little car! it's for the wife mainly and i think we will keep it as a spare car for inbetween cars if you know what i mean.

I'll be off down the scrappies for some clocks aswell, i guess the mk1 clocks are easilly changable like the mk2 ones are? so i can set the correct milage on it!
