Hi,
I removed the standard fit 18" and changed to Racing Line R360 19" in Gunmetal Grey back in 2023.
There is a photo I uploaded on this page going back a bit showing the fit/look.
It was choice for me between BBS and RL  in the end.
Good luck and enjoy.
Mk 8 GTI DSG.
Moonstone Grey.
Purchased new in Nov 2020 by me.
Accessories:
Racing Line RL360 Gunmetal Grey 19"Alloys. Tyres are new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6. Both fitted 20/10/23.
Racing Line R600 Air filter system/hoses.
Racing Line High Performance Ignition Packs {Red}.

Welcome aboard GTI BOY  :smiley:

The popping will be your tyre sidewalls vs winter potholes.

It depends on the look you want.
I used to have an obsession with changing wheels, I think I had at least half a dozen sets for a mk6 that I had many many years ago 🙄
Long since grown out of all that and tend to prefer the factory look these days.
Personal opinion (and a rather boring one) is that a set of black Estorils look best on a Moonstone GTI, pair that up with a set of black mirror caps then add black OEM (ed50 and R BE) VW logos and job done.

i second that.  my combo exactly, if you don't mind the extra love the Estorils need.  I actually spend at least twice the time caring for these wheels compared to everything else that came before, and that's on a weekly basis.  Dazzling looks though so worth the effort
Current: GTI 8.5, Moonstone Gray, 5dr, Black Estorils 19''. pan, DCC
Wife's: mk8 TSI 1.5 RL, 5dr atlantic blue, DSG, Norfolk 17", pan s/r, leds
Son's: mk7.5 TSI 1.4 RL, 5dr tornado red, DSG, Singapore 17", pan s/r, leds
Before: mk6 GTI 5dr candy white, DSG, Monza Shadow 18", s/r, bi-Xenons, DCC
Even before that: mk5 GT 5dr tornado red, manual, s/r

I have 19" Adelaide rims which are VW Rims but look pretty neat and pro. Mind the correct offset if your car came with 18" rims. Suspension may need adjusted. Mine came from factory with Sports pack and 19" rims with (Auto) adjustable suspension, so make sure you have clearances out the way and up the way :-) Good luck! PS: DO NOT put a gas strut onto your front bonnet if your car is def Mk8. The new for mk8 bonnet with double latch failed NCAP safety tests that is why VW reverted to a manual strut. Insurance inspectors have been known to cancel payouts to damaged mk8s with gas struts as they deem the gas strut a non standard modification or some such wording. Anyway, NCAP failed so don't waste £70! Good luck with the rims

There’ll be a fair few on the internet if you search on ‘moonstone grey mk8 Golf GTI with Adelaide alloys’. Here’s one;

2020 Polo GTI Plus; Pure White, DSG (because they all are)
Gone but not forgotten;
2016 Polo GTI; Blue Silk
2011 mk6 Golf GTD; Carbon Grey
2007 mk5 Golf GT (2.0 170bhp TDI version); Deep Black Pearl
2002  mk4 Golf GTI (the 150 bhp diesel version); Deep Black Pearl
