The long,thin plastic strip of trim located directly under the air vents on mk 8 golf gti (from steering wheel to passenger door side) has come off, all clips look in tact but we are unable to reattach it, has anyone else had this problem and is there a trick to get it back in place on the panel. We have spent hours trying and it wont clip in tightly we want to leave using glue as a last option, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
