first minor GTI service @ 10k miles

quoted 240 quid by dealership for my first minor inspection @ 10k miles.

Based on the minor service i had in previous models, here's what to expect:
> engine oil - (0W 20, 6 litres, at 115 quid)
> oil filter
> tire rotation
And then running checks on brakes and other car systems.

Had anyone had their minor service yet?  Anything i'm missing from the list above?

Mine had it's first in May. Oil, filter, plug and washer. 'Cleaner' was listed but it doesn't specify what exactly that was. Then a 34 point visual inspection and a battery health check.

thanks mate.  No software updates?  What did they charge you for all that?

Got this maintenance schedule built by AI along with indicative costs.  Sounds about right?

Not sure about all the elements of the service schedule, not saying it's wrong, just can't say it's right. One point though is the diff service which on the MK7 was 3 years or 30k miles. Oh, and the DSG service which I think is 80k miles. There may well be differences between UK vs Cyprus servicing.

I assume they checked the software but it wasn't mentioned. The car has a service plan so I didn't pay but the invoice showed just over £200.

they don't offer service plans here so i'm stuck with paying every time  anyways sounds about the same what you are saying re: 1st service, i think the rest of the intervals are pretty much streamlined regardless of the market
