Morning all, as above I've yet again returned to a Golf Gti, I cant see past them.
A quick update was I got the 8.5 Clubsport last April, great car, had it 6 months then sold for bigger car, M340i Touring.
That had issues, lasted a week and garage offered to take it back.
At this point had an op I'd been waiting on (hip replacement No 2) so no driving for 6 weeks.
Then bought a very nice 2019 7.5 Golf R with DCC, Pretorias. Liked the look of it, interior but just felt a bit old now and had a few rattles so gone after 6 weeks.
What do a get next?
I order yet another Golf Gti.
Have gone for basic Gti as its all I need. Was sorely tempted by Ed 50 but in my day to day use of the Clubsport I even found that I little bit firm and dont use the power enough to really need it.
The wife as says she wants it after me so another reason to stick was the 265 one.
So, Kings Red, DCC, Pan roof, Harman Kardon, 19 Queenstown, and 360 camera.
Managed to get a local dealer to match DtD discount so good saving as well.
Ordered start of April, built this week so not having to wait long either.
Anyway, happy to be back and enjoying catching up on all the stories on here.
