GTI Clubsport delivery timescale
« on: 11 March 2026, 18:54 »
I ordered the GTI Clubsport back in January, with an anticipated delivery of late May.

The leasing company has updated me today saying that, due to some parts shortage for performance models (specifically, the rear spoiler), a provisional build week has been selected for the 15th June.

How (un)likely will it be that I'm lucky and that week actually moves forward, before it's confirmed?

That date is week 25. If that is happening (parts shortage) is VW prioritising the Edition 50 due to being a limited run?

Well, I ordered mine on 5th dec. Only last week did I get a build week which was 16. After throwing all my toys out of the pram with VW they are allegedly going to ‘prioritise it’…

Holds breath…

What did you order a clubsport? And I am sure the edition 50’s are getting top priority and parts as they want to launch the 50th anniversary model in may so others (clubsports) will be pushed back

Yes, a clubsport. With pretty much every option except pan roof and head up display. I’ve been told my delay is due to the number of options I specified. However I’m not so sure. I can certainly see a scenario where they have pushed the ED50’s ahead of other orders.

Hi
I ordered a Clubsport with Warmenau Diamond Cut wheels, pan roof and Oryx white in September and it was originally quoted as due into dealer early February. As yet I still don’t even have a build date confirmation. Dealer claims the delay is due to the wheels being unavailable? Not sure I actually believe that though. Had an email from dealer yesterday apologising for the delay but unable to even predict when the car may materialise?

I read another post recently about there being supply issues with Warmenau alloys (sorry, can’t remember which forum i read it on), so maybe your dealer’s being truthful.
