dunno but that south african golf - weird having a dated exterior and modern interior! Prices started at 5.6k too... may as well import them from britain for that price!

but thats the whole idea, a brand new mk1 golf, as opposed to a 20+ year old one form over here. its getting harder and harder to find a mk1 that isn't rotten or in need of restoration.
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post

its getting hard to find any mk1's which is a shame seeing as there are so many mk2's out there still, both are great and what joe said who wouldnt want a one thats not only mint but also is newer and has lower mileage. shame there all 5 door though :S

The 0-60 times are in Kilometers! :) it's 0-60 (miles)= 7.6 secs  - still very quick!

I am really going to look into this, I always wanted a mint MK1 - with comfort!!

I'll ring my insurance comapny after and see what they say!

Can anyone work out how to convert the prices ovver to pound sterlin?

There was a little piece about this in either Golf+ or PVW not so long ago...they gave the number of a company that imports them....I can't remember exactly how much it worked out to be but pretty sure it was something around £10k  :undecided:

Just worked it out and the VeloCiTi 1.6i will cost - £9370.26

Tyhen you got to add the import cost etc, so 10K sound about right! - Anyone got a copy of golf+ mag with the details as google is not showing anything up!

I know its a bit off the subject but my neighbours just bought a brand new VW camper from a company in Taunton. Cost him £12,500 and thats with all optional extras, included having it lowered with porsche replica wheels. Not bad for a new car!

I've got the mag at home but I haven't got a clue which issue it was...is it not on the Golf+ website??
