golfs in japan

is it true that you can buy brand new golf mk1 and 2`s from japan? im sure ive seen them advertised in a mag once

The south african mk1's are all 5 doors...the only way to get a fresh mk1 shell tho..they call them Citi Golfs and they have various bits a pieces off of newer generation golfs to bring them up to date..

there is somewhere over here that imports them but i can't remember who..

In Japan they either still get the Mk2 Jetta or did up until recently, except it has a dodgy old-passatish front on it 

They have nice door cards though, wouldn't mind laying my hands on a set

Well nothing current on volkswagen.jp.....   Maybe they did until recently.... Not quite up to the point of being able to work japanese autotrader heh!
