Rear wiper - am I going mad..?

I only noticed yesterday - the rear wiper on my 8.5 GTI 265 doesn't sweep a full 180 deg - it only sweeps to maybe 170 deg?  Now I have had many Golfs before and I have never noticed on any of them the rear wiper to not sweep the full 180 deg - but maybe I just never noticed before??  Anyone out there with a Mk 8.5 GTI that can confirm whether yours is the same??

Good job you haven't got a mk2, you'd feel very short-changed.
