Heated Seat Memory Quirks
« on: 11 February 2026, 12:48 »
Recently my heated seat won’t turn on automatically as it did in the past in cold weather from the climate control program setting that configures it in the settings for cold weather heated steering wheel does but not seat I’ve reset it in the menu a few times but when I start car remotely in cold weather seat doesn't come …but it did for the first months since new then just stopped
Little afraid to bring it to the dealer as to who knows what they would do
No issues in 6000 miles other than having to reboot screen 3-4 times to bring up car play or Sirius but that’s not uncommon on these rolling IPads we drive But I friggen Love this car it is such a driver’s machine l m constantly dreaming up reasons to drive it 6000 miles in 4 months
Any ideas on the seat issue?
TIA

stating the obvious, maybe sensors won't read minimum temperature threshold in order to activate the heated elements?

Sounds so logical maybe they could just change that sensor if it’s that’s something by itself
Little afraid to have them muck something up if they start digging into software
Do you think that sensor would be a standalone item if so I would probably bring it in
Thanx for chiming in

done a little admittedly basic research, looks like sensors are integrated into the seat, which would need disassembling to check and see what's what...
