Hi all,

I have a mk7 Golf GTD, I have had it for coming up to 6 years now.  I'm based in Worcestershire.  It's my daily and I am still learning it's problems.  It's definitely a learning curve having a car like this.  I do sometimes miss my older 'simpler' cars...

Welcome Simon!

6 years is a fairly steady learning curve and I agree, the more simple older vehicles were easier to deal with. Alas time and technology moves ever onwards so maybe you’ll want to keep your mk7 for many more years as the mk8 generation certainly moves the game on for potential complex tech issues and emissions add ons. Time-bomb springs to mind!
