GTI Edition 50 order thread

I ordered a Clubsport with Warmenau Diamond Cut wheels in September and it was originally quoted as due into dealer early February. As yet I still don’t even have a build date confirmation. Dealer claims the delay is due to the wheels being unavailable? Not sure I actually believe that though 🤔

That’s a hell of a wait! Did you get the email saying the factory has your order and getting things ready and looking out parts ect..?

Yeah I have an online “brochure” that states order is with the factory and parts are being checked. This hasn’t changed for sometime. The dealer emails every few weeks to there’s no change in the status. I’m not stressing about it I’m sure it will be worth the wait 🤔

Usually 8-10 weeks from receiving that email the car is with the dealership but yeah definitely be worth the wait

I saw your post earlier via Volkswizard , I also had similar spec ordered here in Ireland and would also feel aggrieved if I couldn't order the black option wheel.
I contacted my dealer re above and have yet to hear anything back. I don't know how this is the case as the black option wheel was used as the flagship model on launch of car. Seems bizarre

Week 20 is the predicted week or is the confirmed one?

In a German forum I’ve read that Volkswagen will produce 2900 Edition 50 units. I assume that all these units will de produced in a small “time frame”. LHD and RHD versions probably are not produced in the same batch… Mine was ordered (at the dealer) in the 24th of February and according to my latest info it will be produced before yours…

I am guessing this is a prediction build week but vw customer service said it has been allocated build week 20, im just going to presume 1st week in June before I get it
