CM Wheel bore size
« on: 07 December 2025, 11:07 »
Has anyone ever had a problem with CM 18” alloys being slightly over the 57.1mm OEM?

I have a set of Queenstowns (recently introduced by CM), that are 57.7 mm……too big for safety, too small for spigots.

I’m in dialogue with CM who may offer me an alternative wheel in which case it would be 18” Prets.

So final question…..to any owners of CM Prets…are they a good tight fit onto the 57.0mm hub, espec on the back hubs?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I just checked the EJ-Parts.co.uk website as they have a massive selection of spigot rings so I was hoping 57.7 to 57.1 size to be listed but it’s not

It seems bizarre that they have a 57.7 centre bore; IMHO a high proportion (the majority?) of customers for Queenstown replicas are likely to be Golf owners.

19” CM Pretoria’s fitted just over a month ago, no issues so far🤞
I spoke with CM Wheels a lot before I ordered and they confirmed a straight fit, no need for spigots.
Only issue was the bolt caps, easily solved with VAG 17mm caps.

Mine feels as smooth (if not a bit smoother, but that’s probably due to the 4 new tyres) as before on all road surfaces, slow and a speed, no vibration at all. Can feel road imperfections a bit more but I guess that’s due to the larger wheel and lower profile tyres.

I would be sending those back.
And wanting a refund unless they could guarantee their Pret replicas were an exact fit.

That’s where the conversation is headed!
Fortunately I kept the OEMs so my options are open.

I suspect this over-size bore is confined to these Queenstowns. But we will see…..
