Does anyone have any thoughts on whether the sunroof in the mk8.5 are as problematic as previous models, ie cracking etc? I'm sure it's too early to tell as they've not been out very long

They changed the design significantly in the mk8. The opening in the mk8 is the full width of the roof whereas in the mk7 it was narrower with a glass surround. It was that surround that cracked on the corners. I’ve not seen any reports at all of cracking in the MK8.
