Pedal box ?
« on: 12 September 2025, 20:03 »
Is anyone running one on here in a mk8?

What's the verdict worth the money and is it a noticeable improvement. How does it work ref the different driving modes std on car already just boosts the signal from that particular mode?

Mk6 GTI DSG
MK7.5 GTI performance DSG
Mk8 GTI

With the lack of replies I’m guessing not many have bothered with a pedal box on a mk8.
As someone who was a massive proponent of them going right back to mk6 days, plus ran one on various mk7’s from January 2014 through to late 2019 with literally dozens of posts on here extolling the virtues over the years.
From 2020 to present I’ve been running mk8’s and haven’t ever been tempted to fit one as pedal response is much improved and the newer DSG seems less lethargic at low to medium throttle openings.
Mind you if I actually tried a mk8 with one fitted I might rekindle my enthusiasm for pedalboxes!

Thanks

I have also had a MK6 GTI DSG & 7.5 performance DSG the response does feel better on the my 8 GTI, but only marginally,
Great in sport or individual but can't help thinking that a pedal box may just make it perfect in all modes.

Did you hever have any issues with any you ran before ie making kickdown over sensitive or any faults or fault codes on car or issues caused by pedalbox?

I had no issues with my PedalBox as regards to warning lights or stored codes. It worked seamlessly.
Mine was run on manual cars (I also ran a Sprint Booster on my mk6’s) aside from my 2019 TCR but it didn’t work as well on that car. Mind you my PedalBox was from 2013 and from memory the ECU/control modules security settings were different on 2019 cars which would explain why.

If you’re thinking about getting one I’d say don’t hesitate as they’re brilliant!
