Mk 7.5 PP front diff/haldex service

My GTI is coming up to 5 years old and I have owned it  for the past year,according to the vw service history the car has never had this service carried out. I’ve asked my local vw dealer about the service and I got a bit of a blank look which didn’t inspire me with any confidence! The car has just topped 25000 mls so my question is should I get this done or have I not reached the recommended mileage yet ? If it needs to be done I’ll have to ask my local Indy to do the service as my vw dealer didn’t seem to know anything about it.

I've had mine done every three years which is the recommended interval (no milage as far as I know), the first time I asked for this at my dealers something got lost in translation and they ended up changing the DSG oil by mistake so it had to go back the next day for the VAQ oil change, they were fine for the second change three years later and seemed much more switched on to it.

As above, every 3 years, irrespective of mileage (I do tiny miles).
Wherever you take it, make sure they flush the filter👍

Looks like I'm well overdue for that service, I'll try to get it booked in next week, thanks for the replies.

It might be worth going to a VW specialist rather than the main dealer.
A specialist will pull the pump and clean the gauze if needed, whereas a main dealer usually won't.

Totally agree, also save a few quid and the priceless opportunity to speak to the guy who actually services your car👍
