How to remove bumpstrips

Maybe not a huge amount of help, but I used to use a 'prising tool' wrapped in an old rag. Looked a bit like a fork but with only 2 prongs...

i think there stuck on with adhesive tape and have locating pin/clip also?? dont quote me on it... would be interested to know 100% as mine are coming off when it gets painted next year

Thanx to gaz for posting this for me. This is part 2 of my water leak. After fixing the grommet where the bonnet pull cable goes through I thought I had sorted it.I had put my drivers seat back in as my car has stayed dry for days.I had finally dried out my passenger side yesterday, and was going to put my seat back in today. After the sh!t loads of rain we had last night, when I got into my car this morn I thought I would just pull back my passenger carpet to check alls well, but !!! I had a f**kin pond there again !! Anyway on investigating with Gaz 'the king of hosepipes' the water is coming in through the rivet hole that secures this little strip to the bodywork. Thanx to the clown that fitted it. So basically I have to seal behind it and then fingers crossed my car is water free.

The holes are just guide holes, there isnt an actual fixing, just the double sided tape stuff.
I usually use a heatgun and serrated wire.. but a hairdryer and dental floss/fishing wire should do the trick.

sod the tape, it degrades and leaks.. i used sikaflex on mine.
