Dealer did not know anything about it on delivery (24/04). Went back last week to collect my mats and dealer told me I’m number 24 and the plaque is on its way and will let me know when it arrives. So hoping to hear soon.

Excellent! That’s a very early bird. What did you have to go get mats? Did they not give the Edition 50 red and green stripped ones?

I’d ordered winter mats and bootliner which weren’t in stock when I went to collect. Car did indeed come with the lovely ED50 mats 😀 not sure there is any green on them though….. feels a bit of a waste putting in winter mats in place of the nice ones, but they just get wrecked ha.
The plaque is a nice touch. No sign of any plaque on Irish Edition 50's

It should be for the whole of UK, rather than just England. I would chase them up. Send the video if they don’t believe you.

Bootliner is well worth having. Make sure it's the proper moulded "thick" rubbery/plastic one and not the flimsy cheaper one.

In my experience the driver's carpet mat tends to show wear quick enough around the heel area. Rubber mats for the driver side at least is probably a good idea for the winter months. I do think they're a bit ugly and agricultural looking though tbh.

I found 0001 UK Edition 50 by mistake whilst looking at the Golf EV delayed news. Gotta be the UK Press car. Maybe UK reviews soon.

Where can I order good VW winter mats and boot liner? I’ll be using it all year around so swapping the nice ones for muddy days is a good idea.

It’s funny you say that cos I was suprised when I picked it up it was a very cheap feeling foam type thing. It fits well, but feels cheap. Why I previously bought an official Audi one for my S3, it was a thick rubber one, much higher quality. I ordered this one with the car on the configurator, it was £74, and I was expecting more. I’ve tried to research but it does not specify the material. What do others think it should be given the not cheap price tag??

Yea I know what you mean about the mats, I’ve kept the carpet for passenger side to treat the lucky people who get to ride in it 😂😂 but mine and the rears I’ve put in the rubber (for now)
