Service Query
« on: 27 February 2025, 13:40 »
My 8.5 GTI has been set to long-life servicing which I don’t agree with

I want to get my first oil service done after the first year, to do this do I need to take the car in for them to reset the service schedule?

Or do I just take the car in after a year and they will reset then?

Thank you

They can reset it whenever.

If you've just got the car pop in and ask them to do it now.

Either option would be fine but with the second option you'll only need one trip to the dealership which is of course the best option as those places are awful. IMHO.

Just wait until the car hits a year old and book it in for a service. You’ll probably get email reminders from the supplying dealer before then.
