Exterior mirror adjustment

Sorry of this has been covered but I'm at my wits end.

So I have synchro mirrors off no dip in reverse either

I can't adjust either the left or right mirror properly

Left mirror will will come in towards the car and go up and down but I can't make it go out

Opposite for the right lol

It won't come in but it will go out (the mirror glass not the whole mirror they fold fine )

It's my first VW always had BMW's so can anyone shed any light on why it's doing this.

Been to my local dealer but what ever he done it was fine now it's not.

Have you managed to sort this out Grizzle?

Almost all requests for help get responses, but I think forum members are just struggling to understand what the issue is.  That is certainly the case for me at least.  You could maybe attach an image or two?

Put the mirror switch to L
Select reverse and let the mirror tilt down.
NOW adjust to the view like.
This will now be the position the mirror will tilt to.

Turned out to be a software issue
But now I've got a brake boost restricted warning 😔 not even done 1000 miles yet lol

Yeh all sorted mate was so weird, they think the brake boost is a sensor.
