Adaptive cruise control help?
« on: 09 October 2024, 07:34 »
Has anyone had this fixed at dealer ref software update
It keeps reading speed limits as koh instead of mph and adjusts to suit and yesterday i couldn't tilirn it off on the shortcut on wheel and just use normal acc.

Any ideas or is it just something dealers cannot fix car is 2021.

My car is 2021 and I've never had it reacting to speed limits. I think that is an option, but mine is obviously turned off.  Mine functions as an adaptive cruise very well and I'm good with that.

I'm sure there is an option to react to speed limits but God knows where it is.

Yes, my GTI also has this turned off, the option to do so is located in the assist menu settings, accessed via the shortcut button next to the hazard light switch.

Thanks yes I know you can turn it off on that menu but also on the stalk shortcut however that wouldn't work yesterday.

But usually it works fine reading the speed signs but every now and again it seems to see them as kph not mph and adjusts accordingly which is pretty annoying and sometimes dangerous wondered if there is a dealer fix for this?

Yes had this problem initially back in 2021 but software updates fixed it.

Does your car not have any updates installed ever?

This was a common issue on early cars, but as far as I recall, software updates fixed it. Not heard it mentioned on a long time now. What year is your car? Do you know which software version you are on currently?

Which version is it running and also do you mean during "travel assist"? I believe travel assist is the only time it will use posted speed limits for speed adjustment?

Yes during travel assist doesn't happen usually usually works fine.

Vw connect plus has just expired not sure if that would have anything to do with it.

Travel assist is just adaptive cruise with lane assist turned on... Shouldn't be any different...
