20mm from standard and 10mm lower than an 8v

standard 360mm
8v 340mm
16v 330mm

think thats correct

spot on mate, alan i wouldn't worry about the difference between 8/16v as the drop is measured from standard ride height so a 40mm kit will drop a regular golf 40mm, an 8v 20 mm and a 16v 10mm. does that make sense?
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post

Thanks Joe
That does make sense. In fact I had not really worked out what 40mm lower was 40mm lower than!
From what I have read a lot of people feel that 40mm drop and Koni/eibach is the way to go.
I will just have to save the money.
Thanks for your help
Kind regards Alan

What wheel/tyres are you using?
Do you have no problems with tyres cathing on anything.
