MK8.5 EARLY DELIVERY

Been informed that I can receive my MK8.5 GTI next month compared to the original delivery time of November which is great!

Anyone else in the same boat or am I one of the lucky ones?

Ordered mine in July lol! It is base spec though with black metallic, so maybe they are shipping a bunch of these over in the next week or two. When did you order yours?

That's quick! Totally different to my 9 month wait last time lol! I'm sure there are cars already in the pipeline to get out to dealers so maybe you got one of them. I only ordered this week.

Is it your actual order or a stock car? Quite a few black base spec ones available on the VW website. Either way, bonus that you get it next month.
I thought about asking if I could cancel my factory order and have the deposit refunded. Then negotiate the same deal with another dealership that has a stock car, to collect September. Still need to sell my transporter privately though, so quite a few things that would need to fall into place.

I ordered a black metallic GTI. Assuming this has become available earlier due to it being 'Stock'. I got called up and asked whether I'd like to swap the order form for a car that's going to arrive next month. Believe this was possible because the original order hadn’t even started to go into production so was quite easy for them to swap around.

There have been a few people who have just gone to the dealership and collected this month as they've been on show.
