My wife's 2019 GTi seems to have a particularly sensitive throttle, most noticeable when parking. You can work around it my giving the throttle pedal a very light tap to sort of wake the box up, but it seems less than ideal when you are parking in a tight-ish slot.

Cars done 29k, but is this a normal 'feature' as in, 'they all do that sir' thing?

I pretty always give the throttle a tap to get the car moving and then proceed from there, every time I set off from a stop, just to smooth things out. It's just reflex now

Seems a slightly annoying trait then. I've a Cayman, and its nothing like the behaviour of the GTi to be fair. Wonder if it can be coded out?

You could try changing the throttle from "incremental controlled over time" to "direct controlled over" via VCDs. I've no problem parking with it changed.

That sound promising, I'll give it a look. Cheers!
