xenon Lens replacement
« on: 07 October 2023, 15:11 »
Hi All,

My 2014 GTI has badly marked headlamp lenses, it looks like water marks on the inside of the lens, I guess from water ingress. I found other forum posts of people complaining of this issue.

I tried Autoglym headlight restoration kit and it didn’t work the drip marks and misting is definitely on the inside!

So I’ve been looking around at options, wanted to avoid costly replacement, and as the headlights work, I thought about replacing just the lens. I came across these video(s), and wondered if anyone had tried this, or knew of a company that does it?

Update!

I managed to track down the guy who made the YouTube video.

He quoted me £150 for labour and £40 for the lens and 4 day turnaround. Basically the same as Keep your car safe. But they wanted to keep the lens for longer.

I picked it up today and am very happy, he did an amazing job, you wouldn’t know it’s not OEM, and far cheaper than buying a refurb one.

This is his insta, not many new videos
