Hi everyone! Could you please assist?

I replaced the airbag half a year ago at an official dealer (the steering wheel creaked during turning, after replacing the airbag, the creaking went away).

After that, I noticed that the steering wheel became quite loose, even in sport mode. While driving, it does not fill properly (not heavy at all). Both in comfort (it's terrible there), and in sports mode.

I drove the car for more then a year before that, so I clearly understand the changes. The dealer did nothing to help. They said there are no errors, so everything is fine (yeah, of course).

I went to people who are engaged in VW. They reset all settings to factory. It seemed to help, but after a few days, it all happened again.

Who can tell me what the problem might be and how to solve it? By the way, when the car stands for more than day, and then I start the engine - steering is as it should be. But after I stop the car, and turn off/on the engine - it all happens again. (very loose).

Thanks in advance for your help, I really want to get the car that I drove for a year again.

Thank you!

Strange issue, sounds like the car has been re-programmed with steering software (all of this is electronic) from a regular Golf rather than a GTI. Badger VW UK at Milton Keynes to the hills and threaten the Motoring Ombudsmen. Alongside this, ask to see the dealer principal and send a strongly worded email to the head of the dealer’s franchise group. Then ask your dealer to directly compare the steering inputs by doing two side by side test drives and refuse to collect the vehicle until sorted!

Thanks for your assistance! Though I'm not in the UK, so I'm not sure this is going to work, unfortunately. Because we have dealer & importer in one face.
