Clutch pedal annoyance
« on: 25 March 2023, 13:00 »
Hi all ,

Recently my clutch pedal is really starting to annoy me , it’s been back to the garage and they’ve said they can’t seem to see the fault ,

Any ideas what could be causing this ? It’s really hard to take off from a standstill smoothly .

It’s worse the more you use it, the creaking get’s louder.

Have your garage bled the clutch slave cylinder?

The bleed nipple can be seen just below the airbox.

It always amazes me, there is a schedule to bleed the brakes, yet the same fluid is left in the clutch system.

You may help the smoothness of take off by removing the clutch delay valve (fitted as standard)?  Plenty of yoiutube videos on this.

I have known clutch issues in other cars as the fluid gets hotter.

Hard to diagnose over the net, but I would do this first before fearing the worse of a clutch slave problem.

Return springs on the pedal itself should be easy to diagnose.

2 things spring to mind, if its just noisy, spray grease all pivot points, replace the master cylinder which is just behind the pedal.
