Advice on Ramair intake with elbow
« on: 23 March 2023, 09:52 »
Hi All,

I've just purchased a ramair intake with turbow elbow for my 2020 golf GTI TCR.
Just intall it following the instructions and the turbow elbow feels a bit loose, i've tightend up the securing screw but there just seems to be some play in the elbow. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Cheers.

There was a small amount of play in my Racingline elbow too. I'm assuming it's to allow for expansion.

There was absolutely no play when I installed it in to my IS20. Are you able to feel around the elbow to see if it's completely in at the bottom? Have you pulled it back once it's slotted in, to lock it in to place?

They're very fiddly - but that doesn't look right!

I installed an Integrated Engineering cold air intake and turbo inlet pipe recently and mine is rock solid into the turbo.
