Enjoy your manual car for as long as possible, once you’ve gone auto there’s rarely any going back - you just end up lazy!

To me, a SEAT Cupra vs. a GTI is like going out for the night and meeting two girls and ending up with the less fit one. You know you will think ‘what if?’

Our previous car was a 65 plate Leon FR (Not a Cupra unfortunately) that we bought brand new.
We traded that in at the end of 2019 for a 6 month old GTI PP, manual.

The Leon was faultless in the 4 years we owned it, and the SEAT main dealers were really good.

The Golf so far has been faultless, but it is more refined than the Leon.
Cabin noise is less, the ride quality seems better, even though they both run 18" wheels, no DCC on either car.
The cabin in the Golf does seem a nicer place to be.
The headlights on the Golf are witchcraft compared to the Leon, both with LED headlights.

The VW main dealers though, in my experience are worse.
