What's everyone's favourite diffuser?
« on: 10 January 2023, 14:44 »
Looking to get one for my Mk7.5. The TCR one looks good, but I'm not sure about the flare at the sides. Reiger gets good reviews but the fins don't look quite deep enough for me. I prefer the deeper fins of the Maxton design one, but that just looks a bit "clip on"

Has anyone bought an option other than these three, or have any pictures of these three that might change my mind?

Having another look, I think I'll probably go for the Reiger. Looks like it goes right to the outside of the exhaust tips as well?

The Reiger one is way way better than any of the others IMO
Looks OEM, not too OTT, fully TUV approved etc

Having just watched an install of it on YouTube, I've just realised it fully replaces all of the matte black plastic on the rear. That's exactly what I want - not one of these options that just slots in the middle over the existing stuff. Reiger it is

Yes, it’s definitely a full valance replacing the whole matte section that clips under the rear bumper. :afro:

Would look great with TCR side skirts

Personally I like Lime and Basil diffusers but other tend to like warmer scents like cinnamon or mandarin...

Rieger stuff is very well made, I'd go for it. There's also a satin black option if you want it to tie into the rest of the plastics round the car but you do need it painted.
Mk7.5 GTI - Performance Pack, DSG, Sunroof, Dynaudio, Pro Nav, Vienna Leather, Climate Windscreen & last of the 3 doors....Many Sets of Alloys...

Prev - Mk7.5 White Silver, Vienna Leather, Sunroof, Helix Sub, Many Wheels

I knew someone would make that joke eventually!

I would much rather gloss black, and will eventually replace all around with it. Unfortunately I went and got fitted for new golf clubs this evening and have my heart set on those, so the diffuser will have to wait

Liking the priorities. I left my golf clubs in the GTI when it was stolen. Still playing the replacements only changes have been Drivers and woods. Recently upgraded to the G425 Driver and 3 wood and I'm looking at the irons... Which clubs have you settled on.?

Previous rides..MKIV 1.8T   MKIV PD150  MK5 GTI MK5 edition30 now MK7 GTI PP

I'm currently playing a RAM beginner set from 10 or 11 years ago. I went along to the fitting pessimistic and sceptical - I figured that way I wouldn't be swayed into seeing some difference just because I wanted to. This would be the first time I'd hit any other golf clubs.

I'm still very much a beginner, so I was being fit with all the latest GI irons, and the three that came out on top were the Ping G425, the TM Stealth and whatever Titleist I used, can't remember the model. Stealths came out on top in terms of performance, but not by very much.

Honestly, I was absolutely blown away by the difference the new clubs made. It'll be nice once I have them to know for sure that the equipment is good and any bad shots are down to me!

A lot of sceptics regarding fitting. I got fitted for a new putter and found out all these years I had the wrong putter head balance. Let me know if you decide on the G425's (and I would). Is this American Golf fitting or a local Pro.?
