Will, I think you have assumed CarbonVW has a Clubsport due to his signature, as I did.

But I think in fact he has a 2013 Carbon Steel Grey Golf GTI.
2017 Clubsport Edition 40 #706.

Urano grey, 3 Door, Manual, Recaros, Brescias, DCC, Nav Pro, Black roof & tints.

Ahhh my mistake, although not a bad time for an upgrade

Update, ripped the caliper last night and popped out the piston and it was  badle corroded on the lip and the chrome damaged. I cleaned it all up as good as I could with different water based sandpapers and my mini rotary tool. The sliders pins were free and perfect. All the rubber seals were in good condition. Covered the piston in rubber grease, refitted everything and it was instantly better. Bled the brakes and test drove it,all ok. Will see how long that lasts but have ordered 2 new genuine TRW callipers from this German website which were a great price for the full assembly. Price is ex vat and delivery.

You just triggered my PTSD. I pulled my 4 coil packs out the other week. I don't have any tools so pulled them out by hand, just had to constantly pull with brute force gritting my teeth together until I had them all out :undecided:
