New member - local garages

Hi

Just bought my 1st GTI 2 weeks ago (see pic). I try DIY where i can and replaced the DV straightaway ( which was completely torn). Tried to change HPFP cam follower but gave up trying to get banjo bolt undone after 2hrs trying. Spoke to my usual independant local garage to see if he could do it but he said he didnt know what i was talking about and questioned if it was a diesel!. I think my thermostat is knackered too,though he advised car not getting upto temp after half hr drive is 'normal' for this time of year. As is temp dropping on motorway apparently.

 So anyone know of decent independent garage near Bournemouth? or tempted to take to VW

Haven't you got a place called Autobahn there somewhere? Pretty sure they are in Bournemouth and have a good reputation.
