Any fluid leaking under the engine tray? mine was slowly coming out and unfortunately it was, seems to be  a common fault as made of plastic

I haven't really looked since last night. I will check later, I did make a mental note of where the fluid level was sitting.

If I do decide to get the spanners out is this kit any good?

I never noticed a fluid drop in the top up, but it was dripping out of the gearbox and then onto the garage floor, some explode, some don't like mine and I was able to top it up and get it to a garage

I did check again, I couldn't see evidence of a fluid drop or any leaks.

The pedal feels fine 99% of the time except for the random occasion that the pedal doesn't return fully. When I have had slaves go on other cars I have had problems with the clutch not disengaging, not so much a pedal not returning.

It is just a shame that the weather is so crap as it doesn't do my enthusiasm for fixing it much good.

But if I do the job I will be fitting uprated parts, so that the car is more remap friendly in the future. I have held off any modifications so far due to the clutches being a bit weak.

I would be replacing the master cylinder at the clutch pedal first as its the easiest and cheapest option.

I think I will do that Madstaff. I will order one tomorrow.

Shall I go genuine for about £150 or get a Sachs, LUK, or Febi one for about £85?

I am guessing that Sachs or LUK would be the OEM

I'm sure the master cylinder is nowhere near £150.

I seem to remember the genuine one I got from TPS was cheaper than that.

I haven't checked with TPS yet as they are closed, that was the cheapest genuine one I found online.

I will give them a shout tomorrow as they are only down the road from my work.

Thank you for the help. :)
