DSG Service. Where to go?
« on: 05 September 2022, 14:17 »
110K Miles later I found out the previous owner never actually had a DSG service. Is there anywhere I should avoid having a DSG service like KwikFit etc? I was gunna do it myself, but my £120 jack has failed and the parts are about £120. So, it is cheaper to go get it done by a proper mechanic... and probably safer.

I'm in Grantham, 20 miles east of Nottingham. Darkside Developments are about an hour from me. Any suggestions for any reputable places in the Lincolnshire, Notts and Peterborough area?

Thanks in advance!

Could give these a shout, https://www.candrenterprises.co.uk/, been around for years. Steve Cresswell is super knowledgeable on all things VAG.

Not terribly difficult so if you have a VW dealer local might be worth letting them do it to save running about??

You really need diagnostics to monitor the temperature of the fluid to set the level properly.

Yeah, I don't have a proper diag. Just one of those £20 quid ones, so I can identify the problem before it goes into a garage as to not get ripped off.

I'll give them a look, cheers!

VAG Autocare Services Ltd, on the outskirts of Lincoln, roughly 35 mins from Grantham. I've used them for several VAG cars, and never had any problems, the owner is a true enthusiast. My Golf is being serviced there tomorrow.

Or Jabbasport in Crowland is approximately an hour from Grantham, again I've used them several times, never had any issues.

In Lincoln almost every weekend. I didn't even think, as they tuned my S3 back in 2015 Duh!!! The one as you are coming off the roundabout and then about half a mile down the dual carriageway on your left?

That's LVS AG, they have a good reputation as well. They installed Revo software on my Polo GTi back in the day.
VAG AutoCare Services are not far from LVS AG, two more roundabouts away on Lincoln bypass
