Sachs or helix uprated clutch??
« on: 10 April 2022, 22:07 »
My Gti is just on just over 40k, Guessing it's only a matter of time before the clutch will need replacing so
which is better in your opinions and why, does it make the pedal  feel much harder?
Costs involved, best place to buy?
Thanks

Why would it need replacing soon ? I’m stage one too and over 100k miles on original clutch.

On the subject of uprated clutch, has anyone in the UK with an uprated clutch suffered from crank walk?
I've done a search on here and I cannot find any mention of it, yet across the pond it's been mentioned.

Carbon VW, that's impressive on the clutch life. What stage1 software are you running?
Are you fairly gentle on the throttle at low rpm?

From reading other posts i presumed it to be a weak point, I hope your right and i can get a good few more miles from  it then.
