Interior rattles
« on: 03 April 2022, 18:05 »
Thought I'd post this as rattles are a fairly common complaint. I identified one from my rear door card some time ago and on a recent service, the dealer replaced all the door card clips on both rear doors for me, under warranty too. The improvement is great! So much quieter inside now so I think there must've been more than one rattle per rear door. Well worth doing if anyone has any unidentified rattles.

Sun visor is a common one on a MK7, mine had it too. I think they were replacing them under warranty. I just popped a folded up tissue under mine just to keep it apart from the roof lining and all was quiet. Or have it open.

I thought if issues started within the warranty period and they had acknowledged it i.e. took it in for a check over, then they had to record that so it would still be covered?

I find the visors rattle against the roofliner in the up position, and I also get a buzzing around the instrument cluster when the car is very cold which goes once warmed up.

Apart from that I find the car pretty good for rattles and creaks.
