Panoramic Sunroof
« on: 17 February 2022, 16:11 »
I'm looking at a new car and it has the Pano sunroof option. Before I drive and see it in the flesh, I was hoping someone could answer a question for me.

With the sunroof closed and the blind pulled closed, does this shut out the sun completely? Or does it still let heat into the car in the summer etc even with the blind closed?

Thanks in advance

It might well get a little warmer, but it'll block out most

No you'll still get a bit of light through as it's a mesh blind, same with heat from the sun it'll still come in.

I wouldn't pay attention to either concerns though, as I've never had sun get in my eyes through the sunroof unless I have it fully open, and I leave my sunroof open (tilted) in summer (most of winter too) so it keeps the car slightly cooler.

Thanks for the info. I suppose I could always get the glass tinted if it causes an issue. The pano roof is not something I would option - not one for the sun being quite pale. But the rest of the car is exactly what I’m looking for.

Honestly I wouldn't let that put you off, I think it's already 70-90% tinted so you won't need to break out the suncream

There you go Clarky, give you something to actually look at to make an informed decision.
