I appreciate, Im replying weeks later!

Last week I traded in my 18 plate Golf GTI for a 19 Plate GTI but with D.S.G. ( I should have got an auto in the first place doh!).

I had to travel over 4 hours to get it last week...It was a horrible day. windy rainy, anyway about an hour from my destination, the same fault came up on my car! It had never happened before... I "assumed" some sensor or something was dirty, (I had a similar fault with a MB C class...

10 minutes later...the warning light just came off?!

Mine cost over £500 for VW to ‘recalibrate’ even though car was in warranty!

Fortunately warranty from dealer covered it, wouldnt have been happy to pay that bill otherwise

Don't forget "Unavailable" does not necessarily mean "faulty" it just means at this particular time it can't provide this service, and that may be down to many reasons, such as dirt on the radar, or the power has been off and it needs to drive for a bit to sort it's life out, or even really heavy rain.
There may be a fault if it persists, or you get other warnings, or look with VCDS etc.

I "think" that's probably happened with mine,  I had been driving it for about 200 miles, weather was awful! Raining etc.

After driving mine for a few years you will almost always find that it's something that has confused the radar. 95% of the time I get this warning i'm in average speed controlled roadworks and passing a gantry/camera.

Can also occur if it's obscured - frozen snow has done this to me as recently as last month.
