  havin had all the problems cutting out,noticed summit up other night,wen out in car.driving round for couple of hrs never cut out once,same again other night driving round only cut out once,dunno if its jus me but the car works fine in cold air,my thinking was watever is causing it to cut out is something getting hot n the cold air is keeping it cool.does anyone know or have any idea how or why this is doing this and what it cud be thats been causing it to cut out.answers on the dotted line plz........................................................ cud stop me puling my hair out n save me a lot of money changing things that dont need replacing cheers!

hi, if you look at relays under dashboard look at the top row third in from left get this changed
and make sure its a genuine vw relay,they cost just over a tenner,this is a very common fault
on this car.
all you have to do is pull it out and put the other in ,job done
