PSA - Rear arch rust spot

Does anyone have a picture of the fixing point for the OEM front GTI mudflaps please?

I purchased some from eBay and the packaging label had a VW part number but are clearly a Chinese alternative.

There are three mounting holes, the two outer are fine but the inner one appears to have to pass through the arch liner but there is no existing hole or fixing.

As a result they are in the boot at the moment as I am reluctant to force a self tapper throught the arch liner.

Any bell would be appreciated.
